Allan A. Hodgson Arts Internship Awards

Rhys听Jones, U3, History and Political Science -听Escuela de Gobierno, Pontifica Universidad Cat贸lica de Chile听in Santiago, Chile

Rhys is a U3 at 成人VR视频 majoring in History and Political Science with a minor in Economics. This summer, he will be interning at the School of Government in Santiago. His work will involve research, data analysis, and managing logistics within the department to evaluate whether rising global wealth inequality is impacting social cohesion. He is looking forward to working with experienced policy experts while making a difference in unequal societies like Chile.

Rishi Kalaga, U2, Political Science -听Trust Fund for Victims of The International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands

Rishi is a U2 majoring in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. This summer, he will be an intern at the Trust Fund for Victims of the International Criminal Court (ICC). His work will involve legal data processing of cases before the ICC. He will be working directly on victims鈥 cases and supporting reparations processes. This work forms a pivotal part of his career ambitions in international law, politics, and human rights.

Maria Isabel Salgado, U2, English -听Massachusetts Law Reform Institute in Boston, USA

Isabel is a U2 majoring in English: Cultural Studies with a minor in communications at 成人VR视频. This summer, she will be an intern on the immigration law team at Massachusetts Law Reform Institute in Boston. Her work will involve legal research and community outreach. The immigration team supports legal access and advocacy for immigrants in Boston. She is grateful for the opportunity to work on a cause in which she fervently believes!


Andrew Buntain Arts Internship Award

Milan听Miville-Dechene, U2, English -听The Musical Stage Company听in Toronto, Canada

This summer, Milan will be interning at The Musical Stage Company, Canada鈥檚 largest and leading charitable musical theatre company. He will be assisting the producers of the Canadian Festival of New Musicals, working with the teams at the Luminato Festival and Soulpepper Theatre. He is looking forward to furthering his understanding of the new musical development process, bridging his theoretical coursework with real-world engagement in the field of theatre producing and arts management.


Anne Turner Arts Internship Award

Mia Allemano-Rho, U2, Anthropology and Gender, Sexuality, Feminist and Social Justice Studies (GSFS) 鈥 La Guilde in听Montreal, Canada

Mia is a U2 student double-majoring in Anthropology and GSFS. This summer, she will be interning at La Guilde, a non-profit art organization that focuses on handmade art and art by women and Indigenous artists. She will be working in both the permanent collection, where she will learn about artwork conservation and material research, and the gallery, where she will learn about art handling and exhibition development and will welcome visitors. She is looking forward to starting her internship!

Cecelia听Callaghan, U3, Gender, Sexuality, Feminist & Social Justice Studies and Philosophy -听Suoni Per Il Popolo in Montreal, Canada

Cecelia Callaghan is a U3 at 成人VR视频 pursuing a joint honours degree in Gender, Sexuality, Feminist & Social Justice Studies and Philosophy. This summer, she will be interning at Suoni Per Il Popolo in Montreal. Her work will involve promotion, production, and event organizing for the 2-week long music festival. She is looking forward to working with various artists in her community and learning more about music production.

Vicky听Huang, M1, Political Science -听United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees听in Ottawa, Canada

Vicky Huang is a first year Master's student in Political Science at 成人VR视频. This summer, she joins the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Ottawa as a Communications and External Relations Intern. Her work includes preparing daily press reviews, creating content for UNHCR socials, and interviewing refugees to highlight their stories. Vicky is passionate about creative ways to communicate the real impact of refugee and asylum policy.

Sophie Miretsky, U1, Economics and Russian Studies-听Repurpose in New York City, USA

Sophie is a U1 at 成人VR视频, majoring in Economics and Russian Language with a minor in Spanish. This summer, she will be interning at Repurpose; a non-profit that utilizes the luxury resale market to provide mentorship in the sustainable fashion industry. Her work will involve redesigning damaged designer garments and assisting with the production and sales processes. Sophie is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience in ethical fashion while combining her interests in business, design, and sustainability.

Odessa Rontogiannis, U3, English and Philosophy -听InfiniTheatre in Montreal, Canada

Odessa is a U3 student double majoring in English: Cultural Studies and Philosophy, with a minor in Economics. This summer, she will be interning at Infinitheatre, in Montr茅al, Quebec. Her role as Administrative Assistant will involve helping with the publication of the two plays produced by Infinitheatre during the company鈥檚 latest season. Odessa is thrilled to be gaining professional experience working in the theatre industry, and helping to publicise meaningful theatrical works.

Maddie Yates, U3, English - Poetry Matters in Montreal,听Canada

Maddie is approaching her final semester in Honours English at 成人VR视频. This summer, Maddie will intern with Poetry Matters, an initiative aiming to foster curiosity about poetry in the contemporary while preserving Montreal鈥檚 literary past. She looks forward to continuing her archival research on Leonard Cohen and Louis Dudek and discovering the poetic world of Patrick Anderson.


Archie Malloch Internship Awards in Public Learning

Diya Senghera, U2, School of Social Work -听Kabir Center for Arts & Culture听in Montreal, Canada

Diya is a U2 student at 成人VR视频 majoring in Social Work with a minor in South Asian Studies. This summer, she will be completing her internship with Kabir Center for Arts and Culture helping facilitate and promote the South Asian Film Festival of Montreal (SAFFM). Diya is eager to be a part of an organization that uses art and culture as a foundation to strengthen communities. She is excited to learn from South Asian creatives and contribute to showcasing the beauty of South Asian culture and film to Montreal!

Vanessa Simond, U2, Economics -听Vision M茅diterran茅enne/Italian Contemporary Film Festival听in Montreal,听Canada

Vanessa is a second-year student at 成人VR视频 majoring in Economics with minors in World Cinemas and East Asian Studies. This summer, she is interning with the Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF) in Montreal. Her role involves supporting the festival through communications, outreach, and managing on-site logistics for various screenings. She is excited to dive into the world of contemporary Italian cinema and help bring the local community together through a shared love of film.

Eilah Kolvin, U3, Political Science -听More in Common UK in London, England

Eilah Kolvin is a U3听student majoring in Political Science, with minors in French Language and Latin American and Caribbean Studies. This summer she will be working for More in Common UK, a non-profit organisation that carries out research to understand political polarisation and methods that leaders in politics, business and civil society can use to bring communities back together. She particularly excited to learn how to conduct focus groups and public opinion polling.


Bryce Internship Award

Ma毛lle Germaine, U2, Anthropology -听Pointe-脿-Calli猫re Museum in Montreal, Canada

Ma毛lle is a U2 student at 成人VR视频 majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Biology. This summer, she will intern at the Pointe-脿-Calli猫re Museum in Montr茅al. She will work with the museum鈥檚 artifact collections by cataloguing, analyzing, and collecting data on archaeological material. Ma毛lle has been passionate about archaeology since the beginning of her BA in Anthropology and is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience and learning from professionals in the fields of archaeology and conservation.

Daniela Wheeler, U3, Political Science and Sociology - United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees听in Quito, Ecuador

Daniela will intern with the UNHCR Ecuador External Relations Unit. She will support refugee integration in Quito by drafting interagency updates and internal press reviews, monitoring humanitarian data and compliance indicators, developing multimedia social media content, and assisting in planning and implementing unit events. Daniela is eager to contribute to the UNHCR鈥橲 refugee integration efforts amid increasingly restrictive and hostile immigration environments.

Djamila Mostefai, U2, Political Science and Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, & Social Justice Studies - Synergos听in New York City, USA

Djamila is a 成人VR视频 U2 student double majoring in Political Science and GSFS with a minor in Quebec Studies. This summer, she will be interning remotely for Synergos as a Communications and Marketing intern. Her work will involve creating immersive social media content and research decks to amplify stories of inner work and bridging leadership. She is looking forward to utilizing her Meta certification and After Effects skills to bridge the gap between public policy and social justice.

Ella Caverson, U3, Cultural Studies and Psychology - Regent Park Film Festival in Toronto, Canada

Ella Caverson is a student and dancer from the Greater Toronto Area and will be interning with the Regent Park Film Festival this summer. Through this internship, Ella will help contribute to RPFF鈥檚 mission of creating a platform for the work of emerging and established artists, while increasing accessibility in the arts. Ella intends to share her love for dance, film, and the arts, while contributing to her community by creating a welcome space, and promoting connection with the other.

Sarah Cantor, U3, Environment听鈥 Climate Reality Project Canada in Montreal,听Canada

Cantor is a U3 student (as of Fall 2026) pursuing a B.A. in Environment with a concentration in Development and a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies (GSFS). This summer, she will serve as the Regional Lead for Atlantic Canada with The Climate Reality Project Canada. Building on her previous experience as an Outreach and Engagement Intern, she will lead the development of a communications campaign aimed at expanding the Atlantic Canada Climate Network and supporting its transition into an independent organization. In this role, she will draw on her interdisciplinary background in climate science and social change to connect with organizers across the region, strengthen collaboration, and advance environmental action throughout Atlantic Canada.

Simone Poku, U2, International Development Studies - Let Us Shine Africa in Kpandai, Ghana

Simone Poku is a U2 student at 成人VR视频 majoring in International Development Studies. This summer, she will be interning with Let Us Shine in Kpandai, Ghana. Her role focuses on strengthening the organization鈥檚 digital presence by updating website content, improving navigation, user experience and clearly showcasing program impact. Drawing on skills and insights from her previous experiences, she will strategically amplify the NGO鈥檚 voice to expand its reach, deepen engagement, and elevate its impact on the communities it serves.

Victor Inigo L茅callier, U3, Political Science - Delegation of the European Union to Canada听in Ottawa,听Canada

Victor is a third-year student at 成人VR视频, majoring in Political Science and double minoring in Communication and Latin American & Caribbean Studies. This summer, he will be interning with the Political, Press, and Information Section of the European Union Delegation to Canada in Ottawa. His work will involve drafting press reviews, preparing reports, and supporting public diplomacy initiatives to strengthen EU鈥揅anada relations. He looks forward to gaining first-hand experience in multilateral diplomacy.

Madeleine Cartillier, U3, Political Science and Economics - International Fund for Agricultural Development in Montreal, Canada

Madeleine is a third-year student pursuing a double major in Political Science and Economics, with a minor in Field Studies. This summer, she will be interning at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), where she will support the Americas Liaison Office in resource mobilization, strategic policy engagement, and stakeholder outreach. She hopes to deepen her understanding of the role of international financial institutions in advancing sustainable development, particularly in rural areas in developing countries, an interest she developed through the 成人VR视频 East Africa Field Study Semester.

Leonard is a U3 at 成人VR视频, majoring in History with a minor in Psychology. This summer, she will be interning at the Division of Administrative Law Appeals in Malden, a government agency that conducts due process adjudicatory hearings for other Massachusetts government agencies. Her work will involve research, drafting and editing documents, and learning more about administrative law. She is looking forward to working with the magistrates and making a difference in her community.

This summer, Celeste will be interning with the Montr茅al-based documentary theatre company Porte Parole, which specializes in creating dialogue around polarizing topics. Celeste will be assisting with the production and editing the script of the company鈥檚 upcoming project: The Assembly鈥擬iddle East. A Drama student who is passionate about theatre as a means for social change, Celeste cannot wait to gain professional and practical experience working on such a politically relevant play.

esi callender, PhD 2, English - Teesri Duniya Theatre in Montreal, Canada

esi callender is a theatre artist and PhD Student in 成人VR视频鈥檚 English Department. They co-founded Sort Of Productions and documented its work in their chapter 鈥渋neffable dramaturgies鈥 in Contemporary Black Theatre and Performance: Acts of Rebellion, Activism, and Solidarity (Bloomsbury Publishing, 2023). They have a masters in African Studies and won the 2024 German African Studies Association Young Scholar Award for their thesis on collaboration and solidarity between African artists.

Julia Navarrete, U3, Anthropology - Upstream Journal in Montreal, Canada

Julia Navarrete is a third-year student majoring in Anthropology with a minor in World Islamic and Middle East Studies. This summer, she will be interning at the Upstream Journal in Montreal, where she will write her own article and produce a podcast. Julia is eager to discover a research topic she is passionate about and conduct interviews along the way, blending her love for writing and storytelling with her commitment to providing meaningful, informative content.


Philom猫ne Chevrier-V茅zina, U2, History and Communication Studies -听78th Fraser Highlanders in Montreal,听Canada

Philom猫ne is a U2 at 成人VR视频, majoring in History with a minor in Communication Studies. This summer, she will be interning with the 78th Fraser Highlanders, a historical association focused on Highland soldiers of the Seven Years鈥 War. Her work will involve archival research, indexing historical documents, and working with information databases. She is looking forward to developing her research skills while engaging with early Canadian and Scottish history in a hands-on archival setting.

Chloe Damm, U3, English - The General Union in Montreal, Canada

Chloe will be interning as a Labor Organizer at Syndicat G茅n茅ral (The General Union) this summer. Working with Syndicat G茅n茅ral will provide valuable experience in grassroots organizing within the Qu茅bec legal framework. As a U3 student in English Literature and Anthropology at 成人VR视频, Chloe is excited to apply her understanding of social and cultural theory through hands-on experience with workplace ethics and legal processes. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of labor relations and advocating for workers鈥 rights in Montr茅al.

Emily is a U2 at 成人VR视频 majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies. This summer, they will be interning at CKUT, 成人VR视频鈥檚 campus-community radio station. They will help with nonprofit funding strategy, grant writing, fundraising, governance and community-based media operations. They are looking forward to getting hands-on experience with nonprofit radio funding efforts, and to continue to be part of the wonderful world of community radio!

Julia Kubisztal, U2, Political Science - WomenAWARE in Montreal, Canada

Julia is a U2 at 成人VR视频 majoring in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. This summer, she will be interning at Women Aware, an NGO that supports survivors of intimate partner violence through support and advocacy. Her work will include developing a new IPV training initiative for businesses, assisting with conference planning, and contributing to research, outreach, and project development. She looks forward to gaining hands-on experience advocating for survivors and supporting individuals affected by intimate partner violence.

Madeleine Le, U2, Canadian Studies -听Arts East-West听in Montreal, Canada

Madeleine is a U2听student at 成人VR视频 majoring in Canadian Studies, with minors in Political Science and History. This summer, she will be interning with Arts East-West/the Montreal Asian Film Festival. Her work will involve social media strategy, media relations, coordination and writing for festival preparation. As a Vietnamese Canadian, she looks forward to supporting and engaging Montreal鈥檚 Asian diaspora.

Tatiana is a U3 student majoring in Honours Philosophy with minors in World Cinemas and Cognitive Science. She will intern at the South Asian Film Festival of Montreal (SAFFM) through the Kabir Center for Arts & Culture. Her work involves festival operations, event promotion, and supporting a documentary on SAFFM's 15-year legacy. She looks forward to sharpening her skills at the intersection of cinema and community, witnessing SAFFM's impact firsthand, and helping document its importance.

Anushka Manoj, U4, Gender, Sexuality, Feminist and Social Justice Studies -听Arts in the Margins (Brique by Brique) in Montreal, Canada

Anushka (she/they) is a fourth-year student at 成人VR视频 studying Gender, Sexuality, Feminist and Social Justice Studies, with a minor in South Asian Studies. Her work explores religion, gender, and politics in South Asia, with a focus on marginalized voices and queer perspectives. Alongside her academic work, she is also a DJ and event curator, bringing South Asian sounds to the forefront and blending them with sounds from all over the world.

Julnar Aizouki, U2, Political Science and World Islamic and Middle East Studies -听New Lines Magazine in Montreal, Canada

Julnar is a U2 Joint Honours Political Science and WIMES student at 成人VR视频. This summer, she will be interning at New Lines Magazine in Montreal. Her work will involve augmenting and supporting New Lines' Middle East coverage, participating in Open Source Intelligence editing and investigations, and producing multimedia projects. She is excited to work with seasoned journalists while contributing to rigorous, evidence-based reporting on the Middle East.

Anah Ibrahim, U2, International Development Studies -听Muslims in Canada Archive in Toronto,听Canada

Anah is a U2 student majoring in International Development and Minoring in South Asian Studies. This summer, she will be interning at the Muslims in Canada Archive in Toronto working in archival operations and outreach. Her work will involve digitization, cataloging, and community outreach to support the preservation of Muslim Canadian histories. She looks forward to developing archival skills while contributing to community-based historical preservation.

Lisa Dai, U2, History -听InfiniTheatre听in Montreal, Canada

Lisa is a U2 student majoring in History with minors in Art History and East Asian Studies. This summer, she will be interning at InfiniTheatre鈥攁 Montr茅al-based theatre who develops and produces plays made by Qu茅bec artists. She will mostly support the publishing arm of the organization, aka InfiniPRESS; her work will involve communications with authors, proofreading, outreach, etc. She is very grateful and excited for this opportunity to support local artists from a new perspective and become a fellow cultural worker.

This summer, she is interning at Theatre Sainte-Catherine as a Marketing and Communications Intern. No茅听Beaudoin, U2, International Development Studies and Economics听-听Association for the Rights of Household and Farm Workers听in Montreal,听Canada

No茅 will intern at the Association for the Rights of Household and Farm Workers (RHFW) this summer in Montr茅al. RHFW is a legal non-profit that aims to defend the legal rights of migrant workers in Canada through impact litigation, education and advocacy, and research-action. No茅 will be working on a constitutional class action lawsuit to amend the Canadian laws which tie migrant workers to their employers, and she is looking forward to learning more about the legal and non-profit community in Montr茅al.

Dasheeni听Joud Selvaratnam, U2, Political Science - Teesri Duniya Theater in Montreal,听Canada

Dasheeni is a U2 at 成人VR视频, majoring in Political Science with a minor in International Development Studies. She has an interest in gender equality, decolonial practices, and intersectionality. This summer, she will intern at the Teesri Duniya Theatre in Montreal. Her work will involve research, analysis, and documentation focused on intercultural plays in post-modern Quebec and cultural plurality. Dasheeni is looking forward to applying her academic knowledge of gender and decolonial practices while contributing to community theatre.

Kai Uemura, U2, Economics and Math听(Statistics) -听Arts in the Margins听in Montreal, Canada

Kai is a U2 student double majoring in Economics and Statistics. This summer he will be interning with Art in the Margins led by Prof. Eric Lewis. Kai will be responsible for the digitization of media for the Kalmunity Vibe Collective, an improvisational music group formed in Montreal. He is incredibly excited to assist with preserving such an essential chapter of Montreal's music scene, while getting a unique insight on the city鈥檚 rich artistic history.

Lana Slahaldin Omar, U2, International Development Studies -听Action R茅fugi茅s Montr茅al in Montreal,听Canada

Lana is a U2 at 成人VR视频 majoring in International Development Studies with a minor in Psychology. This summer, she will be interning at Action R茅fugi茅s de Montr茅al (ARM), a nonprofit supporting refugees and asylum seekers. Within the detention center program, she will monitor case files, prepare resources for detained individuals and their families, and support advocacy efforts. Lana looks forward to contributing to meaningful change while building experience for her future career working with refugee populations.

Leyi is a U1 at 成人VR视频, majoring in Art History with a minor in Communication Studies. This summer, she will be interning at the Geordie Theatre School as an assistant. She is excited to explore public practice and education within the arts sector, assist with theatrical programming, coordinate summer camp activities, and engage with Montreal鈥檚 diverse community to gain hands-on experience in arts management and youth education.

Mia听Duddy-Hayashibara, U2, Anthropology and Psychology -听Festival Acces Asie in Montreal, Canada

Mia is a third-year Anthropology and Psychology student who is looking forward to their internship with Festival Acc猫s Asie. She is especially excited to be immersed in Montr茅al鈥檚 Asian arts scene in multiple disciplines during Asian Heritage Month. Her role will involve assisting with event promotion on social media, event coordination, and working front of house. The internship will provide her with valuable experience in the non-profit arts and culture sector, a field she hopes to continue working in.

Sophie is a U2 at 成人VR视频 majoring in English- Cultural Studies with minors in Hispanic Studies and Musical Applications of Technology. This summer, she will be interning at Suoni Per Il Popolo as their archival intern. Her work will involve archiving festival posters, organizing the archive, documenting events, and helping at Popolo Press. She is looking forward to working with professionals within the music industry and getting hands-on experience in the archive.

Sydney Ferreira, U2, Cultural Studies -听The Bentway in Toronto,听Canada

Sydney Ferreira is a U2听student at 成人VR视频 majoring in Cultural Studies with a minor in Music Entrepreneurship. This summer, she will be working at The Bentway in Toronto as a Fundraising and Partnerships Intern. In this role, she will support donor and prospect research, grant preparation, and partner communications, while contributing to fundraising initiatives within a dynamic non-profit arts organization. She looks forward to gaining hands-on experience in arts development and community engagement.

Avryl Bender, M1, English -听Vehicule Press in Montreal, Canada

Avryl is a Master鈥檚 student in English at 成人VR视频, where her research interests include poetry and archives, especially in Canada. This summer, she will be interning at V茅hicule Press. Her work will involve proofreading/copy-editing manuscripts and assisting with events like book launches. Avryl is looking forward to working with an independent press with historical ties to the rich literary scene in Montreal.

Cirdan Monteith, U2, English Drama and Theatre -听Moyse Hall Theatre听in Montreal, Canada

Cirdan听Monteith听is in her听fourth听year听of studies as a听Drama and Theatre听major at 成人VR视频, with minors in Religious Studies and Art History. Her passion for the arts and costume design fuel her excitement about her internship position at 成人VR视频听participating听in听a听wardrobe management mentorship. This summer, she will organize the costume听shop听space听while learning about efficient systems of management and other requirements of a wardrobe manager.
