Ethics

Overview of Ethics

The ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Desautels Concentration in Ethics is aimed at enhancing our students’ abilities to think critically about complex issues and act with integrity; these are skills employers increasingly deem crucial in the current regional and economic landscape. The courses in this Concentration address a wide variety of topics such as corporate social responsibility, transparency, compliance, prioritizing product safety, AI ethics, responsible data use, ethics in finance, ethics in healthcare, fair labour practices, and sustainable growth aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Regardless of our students’ future career plans, the courses in this concentration provide them with foundational knowledge and skills to navigate the ethical challenges they will certainly face throughout their careers. Every aspect of Management has an ethical dimension, and the ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Desautels Concentration in Ethics equips students to recognize those dimensions and respond thoughtfully to the challenges they pose.

Ethics is a multidisciplinary and integrative concentration and includes courses offered in various disciplines within the Faculty of Management, as well as in other faculties such as Engineering and Arts.
