The Town of Hudson is a residential community located about 60 km west of Montreal. The teaching site is located on the territory of the Centre int茅gr茅 de sant茅 et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Mont茅r茅gie Ouest.

Rotation primarily done in Clinic.

Trainees can be exposed to:

  • Home care/visits
  • Minor Procedures
  • Minor Surgery

Lodging


Type of Lodging

Lodging is not provided by the establishment as it is limited in the area. Trainees are expected to travel morning and night. 

Upon request, lodging may be available in-region within driving distance to the Hudson Medicentre.

If a trainee makes arrangements for their own lodging within the region, they may be eligible to a stipend (upon confirmation of location).

Trainees are expected at the Clinic at 8:30am on the first day of their rotation.

Transportation


Trainees must have a car for this rotation as they are required to travel day and night.

Depending on your base teaching site, each trainee receives a stipend to help pay for transportation costs.


Traveling by Car

Hudson is approximately 60 km away from Montreal. To get there, trainees must take the Highway 40 toward Hull/Ottawa. Take exit 26 toward Hudson. Keep right. Merge onto Route Harwood. Drive on Harwood about 3.8 km. Turn right at rue Cameron. Drive about 1.8 km and the clinic will be on the left-hand side.
