The Annual Workshops of the Analysis, Creation and Teaching of Orchestration (ACTOR) project provided an important opportunity for members of the partnership to convene each summer. Rotating between academic institutions in North America and Europe or hosted online, these events fostered interdisciplinary exchange on the latest research in timbre and orchestration studies.
Workgroup sessions reviewed current studies and strategized for the future, formulating actionable goals and proposals. These workshops also featured lightning talks, student presentations, concerts, and the director's report, with a hybrid format enabling both in-person and online attendance to enhance global participation.
Kickoff Meeting | Montreal, Canada
The ACTOR kickoff workshop took place at 成人VR视频 and Universit茅 de Montr茅al. Members gathered for an initial discussion on the goals of the project according to each sub-axis.

Year 4 Workshop | Calgary, Canada
The ACTOR Y4 Annual Workshop was hosted by the School of Creative and Performing Arts at the University of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada. It was held in a hybrid format (online/in person), enabling a greater number of members to participate.

The Y5 Annual Workshop was hosted by the Universit茅 de Strasbourg at the Maison Interuniversitaire des Sciences de l鈥橦omme. All activities were held in the Salle de table ronde and the Salle de conference.

The Y6 Annual Workshop was hosted by the School of Music of the University of British Columbia, located at 6361 Memorial Rd., Vancouver, BC V6T 1Z2. Most activities were held in the main building, in rooms 462, 475, 113, and the Roy Barnett Recital Hall.
